This one-hour webinar will explore the evolving regulatory landscape for managing biosolids – an inescapable byproduct of the wastewater treatment processes – and the challenges municipalities face trying to dispose of and recycle wastewater sludge. With landfills and incinerators near capacity, and PFAS contamination complicating biosolids land application, disposal costs are skyrocketing and Massachusetts is on track to generate more sludge than it can sustainably manage.
Featuring presentations by:
- Janine Burke-Wells, North East Biosolids & Residuals Association (NEBRA) Executive Director
- Mickey Nowak, Massachusetts Water Environment Association (MAWEA) Executive Director
