Alan Perry Scholarship 2025
Alan Perry was a dedicated environmental health professional. With extensive experience, he worked to ensure the safety and compliance safeguarding community health. His expertise spanned regulatory oversight, system design, and educational outreach, emphasizing sustainable and hygienic practices. Alan’s commitment to public health was evident in his efforts to enhance environmental protection and promote food safety standards. This scholarship was established in honor of Alan Perry’s legacy and impact in the field of local public health.
Scholarship Requirements:
- Preference will be given to new environmental health agents with less than two years of experience.
- Applicants must submit a resume and letter of interest detailing how they define environmental health.
- All applications due by March 1, 2025.
Scholarship Benefits:
- Full admittance to the 2025 Title 5 Seminar.

The AEC Emerging Professional Scholarship 2025
Apply for MEHA’s Emerging Professional Scholarship! The AEC Emerging Professional Scholarship allows for new public health professionals to attend NEHA’s Annual Educational Conference (AEC). The scholarship will cover up to $1800 towards the full conference registration fee, travel expenses, and hotel stay for the conference.
To apply, email the following to [email protected] by March 14, 2025:
- Completed application sheet
- Employment verification from current employer showing date of hire
- Current resume
- One letter of recommendation from an active MEHA member
- 300-500 word essay describe a significant opportunity you have gained in your journey as a public health professional. Explain how this opportunity has influenced your understanding of public health challenges and solutions. Provide specific examples of how it has enhanced your ability to serve and improve health outcomes in your local community.
